M Star — Momentum Scholarship Test Policy

Official rules, eligibility, conduct, scoring and privacy for the Momentum Scholarship Test (M Star).

1. Overview

The M Star (Momentum Scholarship Test) is a standardized assessment used to award scholarships to eligible students. This policy explains how the test is administered, candidate responsibilities, rules for conduct, scoring, and how personal data is handled.

2. Eligibility

  • Open to candidates meeting the age/grade criteria published for the current cycle.
  • Only one registration per candidate is allowed per testing cycle unless explicitly permitted.
  • Eligibility requirements (educational level, residency, etc.) are listed on the official application page and may vary by cycle.

3. Registration & Fees

  • Registration must be completed through our official registration portal by the published deadline.
  • Fees (if any), payment methods, and refund rules are posted at registration. Late registrations may be denied.
  • Candidates are responsible for ensuring their contact details and ID are correct at time of registration.

4. Test Day Rules

  • Arrive at the test center (or login for online proctored tests) at the time specified on your admit card.
  • Bring a government-issued photo ID and your admit card. No ID — no entry.
  • Permitted items: pens/pencils (if paper-based), approved calculators (if allowed), and authorized ID. Electronic devices (phones, smartwatches) are prohibited unless explicitly allowed.
  • Follow proctor instructions. Failure to follow instructions may lead to disqualification.
  • Time limits are strictly enforced; the testing system's clock is the official time for online tests.

5. Academic Integrity

Cheating, collusion, or any attempt to gain unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.

  • Examples of violations: using unauthorized materials, communicating with others during the test, impersonation, manipulating test software, or recording test content.
  • Suspected violations will be investigated. Proven violations may result in score cancellation, disqualification from future tests, and forfeiture of scholarship eligibility.
  • Proctors and automated proctoring systems may record audio, video, and screen activity for integrity verification.

6. Scoring & Results

  • Scoring methodology (raw score, normalized score, tie-break rules) will be published for each test cycle.
  • Preliminary results are released on the dates published on the website. Final scholarship decisions follow verification of eligibility and identity.
  • Scores and scholarship awards are at the discretion of the Momentum Scholarship committee; meeting a cutoff does not guarantee an award if other criteria are not met.
  • Results are sent to the contact information provided during registration. Keep your contact details up to date.

7. Special Accommodations

Candidates requiring accommodations for disabilities or other needs must request them during registration and provide supporting documentation. Requests are reviewed and approved before the test date; last-minute requests may not be accommodated.

8. Data & Privacy

We collect and process personal information necessary to register, administer, score the test, and distribute scholarships. Data handling principles:

  • Minimize collection to what is necessary for the test and scholarship evaluation.
  • Secure storage and restricted access — only authorized staff and vendors may access personal data for legitimate purposes.
  • Retention schedules: personal data is retained as required for administration, audit, and legal obligations, then securely deleted.
  • We may share data with partner institutions for scholarship administration under agreements that require equivalent protection.

9. Appeals & Rechecks

  • Requests for re-evaluation of scores must be submitted within the published appeal window and may incur a fee.
  • Appeals are limited to procedural errors or scoring anomalies; re-marking subjective items (if any) follows documented procedures.
  • The decision of the appeals committee is final.

10. Changes to Policy

We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or technological changes. Material changes will be announced on the official site and to registered candidates when feasible.
